Who is J Katyn
Hi! I’m J Katyn!
J Katyn is a children’s author, mentor, and creative educator based in Ontario, Canada. She spent 29 years teaching in elementary schools, where she discovered powerful and imaginative ways to help children express themselves through writing, art, and storytelling.
With a lifelong passion for writing and drawing, J Katyn encouraged her students to explore their creativity and find their own voices. She believes that every child is an entertainer and every child has a story worth telling and that those stories deserve to be shared with the world.
Today, J Katyn inspires young authors and illustrators to bring their ideas to life by writing, illustrating, and proudly sharing their own stories.
When she’s not creating stories, J Katyn enjoys crocheting and knitting (she has even showcased her handmade designs in fashion shows!), and she loves to dance and celebrate creativity in all its forms.
